Omnia Munda Mundis in Latin it means “to the pure [men], all things [are] pure“.

This motto, adorning the historical family coat of arms, is an important guideline in the behaviour of many representatives of the Orzan family, traders through centuries and precursors of franchising, supplying with their horse-drawn carriages a network of grocery stores, from the sea to the Alps, along the valleys that lie in between today’s Italy and Slovenia.

It explains their openness to the society and their welcoming attitude towards strangers and visitors, underlining that who acts innocently and wisely (according to ethical and moral principles) does not see evil, even where others might do.

In one of the main fundamentals of Italian literature, I Promessi Sposi by Alessandro Manzoni (Chapter VIII), this sentence is pronounced by Father Cristoforo in relation to the astonished attitude of Friar Fazio at the arrival of Renzo and the other threatened (among whom two women, Lucia and her mother Agnese).
